Dr. Chiara Ghetti graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Oregon Health Science University (OHSU). The patient-physician relationship has been the foundation of her career dedicated to helping women attain better health and quality of life through the treatment of pelvic floor disorders. She learned about Michael Balint’s work while in training and helped introduce Balint groups within the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at OHSU. In collaboration with members of the Pittsburgh Balint community, she introduced and facilitated Balint groups within the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at University of Pittsburgh and became a Credentialed leader. She currently has a busy urogynecology practice at Wash U Medicine in St. Louis and is Program Director of the Urogynecology Fellowship Program.

She has served as Intensive Faculty, Supervisor and Evaluator for the American Balint Society and currently serves as the Chair of the Credentialing Coordinating Committee.
